Dr Moshe Moses Mathonsi - Founder & Executive Director

A science-driven veterinary consultancy built on a bold vision: to transform animal health, welfare, productivity, and sustainability across Africa through integrated, practical, and data-driven solutions.

Born in Soweto and raised in Malamulele Township in Limpopo Province, Dr. Mathonsi's journey reflects resilience, purpose, and an unwavering commitment to service. Inspired by the immense impact veterinary medicine has on animal health, food security, livelihoods, and public health, he pursued and completed a Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine and Surgery.

Over the past two decades, Dr. Mathonsi has built an exceptional and diverse career spanning government, policy, veterinary public health, animal disease control, regulatory systems, animal biopharma, animal nutrition, and commercial agribusiness across Southern, East, and West Africa. His leadership journey began as a State Veterinarian in Limpopo and the Northern Cape, where he gained deep expertise in disease surveillance, biosecurity, outbreak response, primary animal healthcare, and farmer support. He later served as Deputy Director for Animal Health, advancing strategic leadership in disease control and veterinary programme implementation.

Driven by a passion for systems thinking and sustainable impact, Dr. Mathonsi transitioned into national policy and planning as Deputy Director: Veterinary Hygiene within the National Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, contributing to veterinary public health, food safety, animal welfare, regulatory frameworks, and One Health initiatives. His career then expanded into the private sector, where he held senior commercial and technical leadership roles with leading multinational animal health and nutrition companies, including MSD Animal Health and Kemin Industries, driving business growth, market expansion, technical innovation, and animal productivity programmes across Sub-Saharan Africa.

These experiences revealed a critical gap in the market: the need for an integrated veterinary partner capable of combining science, field practicality, business profitability, regulatory compliance, welfare, and sustainable production systems into one strategic solution. This vision became the foundation of NextGEN AHW 360 INC.

Today, NextGEN AHW 360 INC exists to empower farmers, pet owners, agribusinesses, and conservation stakeholders through innovative, science - based, and scalable solutions that improve animal health, strengthen productivity, enhance welfare, and unlock sustainable market opportunities.
